  • Smartswitch AV and PC

  • Protection against major power surge, electrical overload or wall outlet failure –  SmartSwitch PC will remove power to both sockets
  • Complements existing power surge devices

 

Embertec SmartSwitch AV

  • “Always On” socket (black) is recommended for use with Audio Visual (AV) equipment that requires constant power for timers, program guide and recording features.
  •  “Power Saver” socket (green) is recommended for AV equipment that can be automatically switched off.

                                                          

  • SmartSwitch AV performs 2 functions:
  1. Automatic Powerdown – detects and eliminates power consumed by AV equipment
  2. Active Powerdown – automatically switches off equipment that is not being used, but has been unintentionally left on.

Embertec SmartSwitch PC

  • Overload protection circuit breaker re-set button
  • “Computer Only” socket (grey) is for use with laptop or desktop computer
  • “Power Saver” socket (green) is recommended for peripheral devices
  • Switch off all peripherals when computer enters sleep, standby, hibernate or off modes

 

  • Must be controlled by Laptop or Desktop
  • Applicable Controlled Products: Printer, Photocopier, Fax, Router, Speakers, External hard drive, Scanner, Gaming, Monitor, some modems.
  • Recommended that WiFi Modems have dedicated switch.
